To avoid this, I limit the battery to stop charging at 60%, and as soon as it drops below that threshold, CPU's TDP drops at 20W and below, resulting in 2.9 GHZ clock speed. WebThe throttling is is very slight, at least under Blender 3D. It causes all-core frequency on my i7-11700K to drop from 4.60 GHz to about 4.55-4.50 GHz depending on how much the processor heats up. However, the seemingly precise temperature threshold I observed under such load was only coincidental.
